According to media, OTB Holding acquires the Jil Sander business from Onward Holding.
Within weeks this is the 2nd of the few internationally successful German brands from the ‘lifestyle’ category.
Jil Sander has been sold a few times already, with limited luck for the owners. Licensees are successful in many categories.
Onward is a Japanese luxury holding, licensee of world class brands, with production in Italy. In the USA Onward owns J. Press, the most traditional preppy label for ivy league students and alumni.
Renzo Rosso’s OTB Only the Brave owns some iconic brands like Diesel, Viktor&Rolf, Marni und Brave Kid. Most OTB brands placed licenses successfully.
Since 2015 OTB had been looking to acquire additional brands.
