As reported here by LicenseGlobal, BMW has signed a brand license for watches and smart watches.
The licensee is Fossil Group, which holds a broad portfolio of brand licenses already. A license had been with the Ball Watch company before.
The territory is worldwide.
First products are expected in 2019, the agreement runs through 2023.
Distribution will be via BMW retail channels and the retail network of Fossil.
The sports brand Head has signed a license for watches.
The licensee is Aion Time from Italy, the license covers digital and analogue watches, and is global.
For footwear in North America Head signed a brand license with Falcon Footwear, an affiliate of the Eastman Group.
Sports brand Head has announced a license for watches.
The brand license is with Aion Time, an Italian watch manufacturer.
The new line will include a technical collection of digital watches with sport functions as well as a lifestyle collection.
Furla, which already has licenses for eyewear and textiles, signed another license for watches.
The new licensee is Morellato, before Citizen held a Furla watch license.
According to licensemag, Hang Ten has entered into six new licensing agreements with:
JGR Copa for beach accessories
Island Surf Company for shoes
Zeon America for watches
Silver Buffalo for drink ware and wall decor
OTTO International for bags
Nomis Canada for apparel
Furla has signed with a new licensee for watches.
After Citizen the new licensee is Morellato Group.
The license runs for five years, launch of the new watches is planed for fall/winter 16/17.
The distribution will be limited to all Furla boutiques, selected watch and jewelry stores and selected department stores.
Kate Spade signed another brand license, this time for watches.
The licensee is Fossil Group Inc., the licensing agreement runs from 2016 through 2025.
Fossil also holds licenses from brands like Donna Karan and DKNY, adidas, Marc Jacobs, Armani, Burberry, Karl Lagerfeld, and Michael Kors.

Kerin owns brands like Gucci, Saint Laurent, Stella McCartney, Brioni and Puma. Some of those have signed brand licenses for watches. In the future the watch licensees will have to compete with an in-house solution.[:]
