Dutch Philips is selling its home appliance business, with an annual revenue of about €2.2B.
The buyer, Hillhouse Capital, will be granted an exclusive brand license for Philips and various other brands for 15 years with a renewal option.
Hillhouse Capital pays about €3.7B plus €700M in estimated royalties.
