Eyewear manufacturer Rodenstock is changing hands, Compass is selling to Apax. Permira and Bridgepoint were previous owners.
The brand company has a long history, as licensee as well. First there was a subsidiary handling various licenses from famous brands.
Then this was given up, and the licenses given back, to focus on Rodenstock.
And then Rodenstock went back to licensing, among others from Baldessarini, Jil Sander, dunhill, Mercedes Benz and Porsche Design.
