Tommy Hilfiger ended its European brand license for handbags and small leather goods in exchange for a luggage license.
Effective Spring 2011 the small leather goods business will be taken in-house.
The Hilfiger brand license for handbags and small leather goods got started in 2004 and supposedly did US$20.3 million at wholesale in 2009.
Simultaneously with the ending of that license, Tommy Hilfiger entered into a new licensing agreement with the licensee, Tichebox, for the design, production, sales and marketing of luggage under the Tommy Hilfiger brand.
